EUNIC cluster Philippines
The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) Manila 2012 is being sponsored by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines together with the EU Member States' Embassies and Cultural Institutes in collaboration with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The Fair will have two components. There will be a symposium on opportunities and best practices of academic linkages between European Higher Education Institutions and Philippine Educational Institutions. This will be attended by decision makers representing at least 60 local Higher Education Institutions as well as key officials from the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education. This will be capped by a networking lunch.
On 14 July 2012, Ms. Emanuela Adesini, the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Italy, was elected as the new President of the EUNIC Cluster Philippines by its core members.
Goethe-Institut, Embassy of France to the Philippines, Alliance Française de Manille, Embassy of Italy to the Philippines together with the Embassy of Israel as a special guest, have organized a joint dance project focusing on contemporary dance.
This joint project consisted of a series of performances and workshops facilitated by European and Israeli choreographers and dancers as well as conferences and film screenings on contemporary dance.
This year the Members of the EU Cultural Group in Manila are proud to announce the 15th edition of Cine Europa. Each participating country contributes one recent long feature film in original language with English subtitles and a country presentation. Selection of titles is supported by the European Film Academy (Berlin).
To mark its fifteenth year, Cine Europa drew on its collaboration with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) to double the number of film Festival locations from three to six.
From 22 May to 29 June 2012 EUNIC in Philippines will be focusing on collaboration of European contemporary dance groups and choreographers with the participation of the Embassies of France, Italy and Israel (as guest), the alliance française and the Goethe-Institut.
