Our activities

European film with social comitment in Ukraine

The European Film Festival was held in Ukraine, in Kiev and Donetsk, from 26 May to 1 June 2011. Curated by young Ukrainian film critic Oleksiy Radinsky, the festival focused on the social comitment of the European cinema and highlighted co-productions.
Set up by EUNIC in Ukraine and supported by the European delegation, the festival attracted an audience exceeding 1000.

Kiev: bringing Ukrainian contemporary art online

EUNIC in Ukraine is announcing the launch of the Kyiv Offline project. Kyiv Offline aims at a better connection of Ukrainian contemporary art to the world stage. The projects consists of an international workshop for online platforms on arts and culture from different regions of Europe. The workshop is to be held during 5 days in Kyiv, at the end of November 2010.

Road to Lviv: European writers at Ukraine's leading bookfair

EUNIC in Ukraine promoted European values and literature at the Lviv Book Forum (September 16-19) and the International Literary Festival (15-19 September). The western city of Lviv has been a major cultural center for centuries and the Forum is the biggest book related event in Ukraine, reaching in 2010 its 17th edition.

EUNIC in Ukraine is spanning its activities well beyond the capital, contributing to the international outreach of the country’s largest summer arts festival. Sevastopol War and Peace International Art Festival (May-September 2010) brings together different genres of arts: military music and cinema, photography, modern dances, performance and media-art.

European Perspectives: Good-Bye USSR (15-21 November 2009) was a week of European films and discussions held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Each day a film presented by a EUNIC member was shown.
