Our activities

Art in Movement by EUNIC in Turkey, 13-22 May 2013

EUNIC Days – Art in Movement is a 10-day film festival organized by EUNIC in Turkey in 4 major cities in the North of Turkey: Sinop, Trabzon, Ordu, and Erzurum. In each city, 15 European films are showed in 10 days. One Austrian, two British, two French, two German, two Greek, two Italian, two Romanian and two Portuguese. (You will find the list and details below). The festival aims at promoting the European culture, and the European cinema in particular, showing its richness and variety in Turkey. It aims at reinforcing the bonds between the inhabitants of these 4 major Turkish cities and Europe.

Human Rights Film Days by the EU and EUNIC in Turkey, 10-12 December

The European Union has been awarded the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize for its contribution to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe and around the world. The 2012 “European Union Human Rights Film Days” Festival will run from 10 to 12 December, with 10 December not only “Human Rights Day,” but also the day on which the EU will formally receive its Nobel Prize. The Festival is organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, working together with the EU Member States missions and Cultural Centres in Turkey, and takes place in 10 cities across Turkey, featuring 11 movies from 11 EU Member States in 3 days of free public screenings.

Art in Movement by EUNIC in Turkey, 6-18 October

EUNIC Days – Art in Movement is a 13-day film festival organized by EUNIC in Turkey in 6 major cities in the South-East of Turkey: Adana, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Mardin and Urfa. In each city, 17 European films are showed in 13 days. Two Austrian, two British, three French, two German, two Greek, two Italian, one Polish, one Romanian and two Portuguese. (You will find the list and details below). The festival aims at promoting the European culture, and the European cinema in particular, showing its richness and variety in Turkey. It aims at reinforcing the bonds between the inhabitants of these 6 major Turkish cities and Europe.
 

12 languages in one day by EUNIC in Turkey, 29 September

29th September in Sismanoglio Megaro: 12 languages in one day – come and celebrate with us the European Day of Languages! Languages open doors! You are never too old to learn a language and to enjoy the opportunities it opens up. On the 29th of September, the cultural institutes and consular missions in Istanbul, representing 12 languages, are celebrating together in Sismanoglio Megaro of the Consulate General of Greece the European Day of Languages by offering fun language games, a “treasure hunt” in the historic district of Pera, traditional and contemporary dances, short films, surprises for children and grown-ups alike. Come and take part in one of our taster-courses and find out that you too may in fact already know many more words in a foreign language than you could have thought!
 

Night of European Culture by EUNIC Turkey, 20 June

 
Twelve European Cultural Institutes and Consulate Generals in Istanbul opened their doors to the public, offering a variety of cultural activities between 20:00 – 00:00 h. During the night, the audience witnessed live music performances, film screenings and exhibitions, learned about our day-to-day cultural events and enjoyed some of the most beautiful venues in Istanbul.
