Young innovative European musicians charm Brasilia
EUNIC in Brazil together with SESC and the University of Brasília (UnB) presents in Brasília AMEO – the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra. It consists of 18 young musicians with entirely different musical roots. These young talents come from many different countries: Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Canada, Norway and the Czech Republic.
The group´s centerpiece is the composer, arranger and instrumentalist Daniel Glatzel, 27, from Berlin. Under his leadership, the band unleashes a firework of inventiveness, high spirit and musical abilities. It is almost impossible to describe the band`s style, because Andromeda uses an incredible variety of musical styles like Minimal Music, New Classic, Bartók and Zappa. Everything serves as an inspiration for these adventurous musicians: computer games, advertising jingles and the sounds of lifts as well as renaissance polyphony. All this results in a sound that makes the audience believe to be no longer on earth but on another unknown star with unprecedented music, never heard on earth before.
Andromeda has already fascinated people from all over the world, they filled concert halls in Korea`s major cities and caused surprise in small bavarian villages. On their first tour through Latin America, the band intends to take the Brasilian public to a fantastic musical experience with concerts in Salvador, Brasilia and Porto Alegre. People in Santiago (Chile), La Paz and Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) will also have the chance to experience the show.
