Ants and Ceramicists: an anthropological exhibition in Ethiopia
The celebrated artist Elias Sime presented an unprecedented exhibition titled Ants and Ceramicists in each of the four EUNIC member offices in Addis Ababa. The exhibition was curated by Meskerem Assegued, a revered Ethiopian curator and anthropologist.
This exhibition is dedicated to ceramicists and all other skilled craftspeople that we consider uncelebrated artists Elias remarked at the serial opening.
Ethiopia: new cluster on the EUNIC map
EUNIC made significant progress on its effort towards a better coverage of Africa in its programmes with the creation of a cluster in Ethiopia. The signing of the charter by the four member institutes took place on 12 May in Addis Ababa.
