Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands at Tipping Point

Over 100 artists, scientists and cultural managers tackled the role of culture in moving to an ecological future at a innovative event in Brussels in january.

Organised by EUNIC in Brussels the Tipping Point event brought together people who rarely meet but who share a common view: that we need to change our behaviours as we move to a more ecological sustainable world.

Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands opened the event telling the audience how she had written a book to engage with children on ecology.  Professor Jean-Pascale van Ypersele, a vice chair of the IPPC had led the press conference which gained major stories in the interntional press.   Among the participants Oscar-nominated actress Susannah York said she wanted to learn more about the subject.
