Normative instruments of UNESCO culture by EUNIC in Senegal, 11 June
As part of its breakfast/debates "Culture and Development", the EUNIC group in Senegal is pleased to invite you to a meeting with Guiomar Alonso, Head of Culture for UNESCO in Dakar. The theme of the debate will be: "The normative instruments UNESCO in the field of culture: conventions, public policy, and impact in the governance of culture". The event will take place Tuesday, June 11 at 9am at the Cervantes Institute in Jeremy Camp.
The UNESCO has in the field of culture a comprehensive normative system which mainly is consituted of six Conventions.
These legal instruments help states to better protect culture in all its forms. During this breakfast/debate, we will emphasise on three of these conventions, their impact on public policies and on cultural governance. Here are the links to each convention and to the instruments of public policy:
