As you know, a diplomat’s life takes many twists and turns, and mine is now embarking on a new path, after four years in my current position. On 15 April, I will take up my new duties in Barcelona as Deputy Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean responsible for civil society and social affairs. In line with our statutes, in mid-April I will thus be handing the EUNIC Presidency over to the current First Vice-President, Charles-Etienne Lagasse. The statutes also state that we must convene a General Assembly (GA) to complete the EUNIC Office. This will be the objective of the GA on 13-14 June. I will however remain in close contact with the EUNIC Presidency and the office in Brussels until our GA in June that I plan to attend.
