Od “Ala ma Kota” do e-matury, conference in Warsaw, 18 April 2012
The goal of the conference is to point out the correlation between good design of educational materials and the increase of efficiency in education. Design here being understood both in a restricted sense, of graphical design, and in a more general sense, as planning and structuring information.
Young Film Critics Forum in Gdynia and Wroclaw
Six young film critics from EU are invited to Gdynia Film Festival for three days at the Baltic Sea (7-12 May 2012), where they will be watching together few new Polish films and discuss them afterwards.
The same will take place for New Horizons festival (Wroclaw: 19-29 July 2012). Six EU journalists, three film professionals from European Film Academy and a group of Polish journalists are invited to the event. This time the focus will be on young European cinema.
Taboo in Children's Art
Themes like death and illness raised in the 19th century in stories for children by H.C. Andersen were then for a long time absent in art addressed to children. Other taboo subjects such as sex and violence in family, parent’s divorce a. o. have begun to appear both in children’s literature (thus, too, in illustration) in recent decades.

Wiersze w Metrze - Poems in the Underground
The main objective of Wiersze w Metrze campaign is to promote contemporary poetry through showcasing it in the metro and in urban spaces all around the world. The first three editions, which took part in Warsaw in 2008-2010, focused on modern European poetry.
Reading somewhere else - 2011, second edition
Second edition of "Reading somewhere else - 2011" took place on October 16th in Soho Factory, Mińska 25, Warsaw. The project “Reading somewhere else”, inspired by the European Literature Night (www.literaturenight.eu), is organized by the cultural institutes who are members of the EUNIC Warsaw
Awakening of the summer in Warsaw castle
Some 2000 people gathered in the park surrounding the Center of Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw on the night of 17 to 18 of June, waiting for the dawn to break and officially start summer 2011.
Reading somewhere else on an April night
European Literature Night 2011 in the Ochota district of Warsaw on 16 April was organised on the Reading somewhere else concept, in cooperation with Teatr Ochoty and support from 17 local partners (12 publishing houses and 5 public libraries in Ochota). The programme was curated by Joanna Czudec, while the artistic director was Igor Gorzkowski and Joanna Gawrońska designed the scenography.

European Day of Languages 2010 in Warsaw = 8 days, 22 partners, €24,000 budget, 13,000+ unique website visitors, 1200 fans on Facebook, 67 lessons and workshops in 19 languages attended by 1500 students, 9 experts on multilingualism, 360 conference participants, 19 films in 12 languages, 100 street game participants and dozens of media mentions.
Languages integrate! European Day of Languages in Warsaw
Lessons and workshops in several European languages, a multilingual conference, art performances, a city game and a film festival will be the main attractions of this year’s European Day of Languages in Warsaw, from 20 to 27 September. The festival of multilingual Europe starts already on 20 September and will take the whole week!
