Intradance Festival: Moscow Swept Up in Dance
Intradance was a festival of superlatives and the largest EUNIC project in a single country up to now. Over 100 European choreographers from 18 countries and more than 30 Russian dance companies joined the Intradance dance project in 2009. They made seven co-productions and have swept up Moscow in dance from 20 May to 23 May.
Through Europe in a day
The European Day in Tallinn was celebrated with the Open Doors event, where the public were offered the opportunity to visit cultural institutes, the EU House and embassies of EU Member States.
Melbourne: duo concert as EUNIC first activity
To celebrate the constitution of the EUNIC cluster in Melbourne, Italian musicians Luigi Attademo and Francesco Gesualdi performed on 25 May 2010 at the National Gallery of Victoria works by a range of composers, representing different generations and styles, including Dusan Bogdanovic, Vittorio Montalti, Alessandro Solbiati, Giancarlo Cardini, Angelo Gilardino, Mauro Cardi and Thomas Reiner/Kate Anderson.
Young Europeans Literary Award: a quest for excellence
French publishing industry magazine Livres Hebdo announces the Young Europeans Literary Award 2009, won by Spanish author Juan Bonilla for the novel The Nubian Princes (Galaade).
Literature Night: celebs read new European literature
Literature Night 2010, the biggest project of EUNIC in Czech Republic so far, staged during the night of May 12 in Prague a series of public readings by Czech celebritiesof the latest works from 17 big and small European literatures alike.
EUNIC in Hungary coproduces music festival within Pecs 2010 European Capital of Culture
EuropeMania, the continent’s popular music festival, aims to help artists from the European Union engage with audience outside their country in the framework of a high-class event: Pécs 2010 European Capital of Culture.
One week to meet them all in Seoul
EUNIC in Korea, established in June 2009, come together between 24-29 May 2010 for an open week called Meet Europe in Seoul.
The Korean audience will enjoy the opportunity to discover the diversity of European cultures and each of the member institutes has its own day into the stagelight.
