EUNIC at the International Conference in Beijing China, 15-16 December 2011

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Chinese National Academy of Arts (CNAA), which is EUNIC partner in the Europe-China cultural dialogue for more than 4 years, has invited three EUNIC representatives: Finn Andersen, one of the initiators of the dialogue with Hans Georg Knopp, Guy Dockendorf, organizer of the fourth Europe-China cultural dialogue session in Luxembourg in October 2011, and Charles-Etienne Lagasse, 2nd Vice President of EUNIC.

Third European - Chinese Cultural Dialogue: an overview

The 3rd European-Chinese Cultural Dialogue took place from the 20 – 23 October in the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.

Enabling Dialogue on an Equal Footing: Meeting with Commissioner Vassiliou

EUNIC in China met on 30 April, 2010 in Beijing the Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, Mrs. Androulla Vassiliou to discuss the current situation and future opportunities of EUNIC in China. The main issues discussed were the 3rd Chinese-European Cultural Dialogue taking place in Shanghai in October 2010 and a number of specific challenges cultural institutes face when working in China.

EUNIC in China is a driving force in the preparation of the third European-Chinese cultural dialogue to be held in Shanghai during the World Expo (19-21 October 2010). The meeting will follow on from the first meeting in Beijing in 2008 and the second one in Copenhagen, in October 2009.
