Artists, scientists and an ecological future
Over 100 artists, scientists and cultural managers tackled the role of culture in moving to an ecological future at a innovative event in Brussels in january.
Organised by EUNIC in Brussels the Tipping Point event brought together people who rarely meet but who share a common view: that we need to change our behaviours as we move to a more ecological sustainable world.

New Waves. New Ways Film Festival 2009 (19 – 25 October 2009)
The New Waves. New Ways Film Festival in October 2009 brought into the spotlight films from the newer members of the EU and those seeking membership.
Over 40 films, both fiction and documentaries, from 9 countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia) were screened at the Romanian Cultural Institute.
Breathe in-Breathe out– culture migration today
An exhibition of five Bulgarian artists who have studied or worked in Germany, Austria and France, opens at the Goethe Institute in Sofia on 14 April.
Their creative work has been influenced by the countries where they have worked and has given significant impulse to local culture back in Bulgaria. The artists become mediators and foster intercultural dialogue between European cultures.
Breaking the ice in the Australian summer
The brand new Australian cluster in Sydney held an inaugural debate on Arts Funding, Cultural Exchange and Soft Diplomacy - the Australian and European Ways, hosted by the Goethe-Institut on 12 January.
EUNIC raises funds for Haiti with a benefit concert in Berlin
Over €7,000 was raised for the victims of the Haiti earthquake by an EUNIC initiated multicultural benefit concert at the Berlin House of World Cultures on 9 February.
